Salary Scale |
€38,312 p.a. - €51,211 p.a. [CL0017/2025] Long service Increment 1, €52,767 after three years satisfactory service at the maximum. Long Service Increment 2, €54,367 after three years satisfactory service at LSI 1 New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of current experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies. |
Annual Leave |
23 working days per annum (pro-rata). |
Working Week |
35 hours per week (exclusive of one hour lunch) |
Probation |
In accordance with S.I. No. 686/2022 - European Union (Transparent and Predictable Working Conditions) Regulations 2022, the period of probation shall not exceed 12 months. |
Superannuation |
Membership of the ETB Superannuation Scheme and of the ETB’s Spouses and Children’s Scheme is automatic and compulsory. |

Overview of the Role |
The Assistant Staff Officer will be working on a project basis in the Corporate Services, Governance & Finance Departments to assist in the establishment of two new special schools under DDLETB’s patronage. This will involve overseeing the implementation of DDLETBs policy framework, & support in several regulatory areas under the remit of the above departments. The Assistant Staff Officer will be assigned to a range of services or activities and will, under general direction of higher grade, assist in ensuring activities are carried out in a timely and efficient manner. |

Support the establishment of policy and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory & other requirements within the remit of the Corporate Services, Governance & Finance Departments in relation to the activities of the new special schools as follows;
