 All appointments are to the Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board. Initial location, duration and provisional hours of work are listed below and may be subject to change. 

OUTDOOR EDUCATION CENTRE INSTRUCTOR  - required for Baltinglass Outdoor Education & Training Centre , Co Wicklow,  - KWOEC/25/01

Seasonal post - March 2025- November 2025

Location : Outdoor Education Centre, Baltinglass, Co Wicklow.

20 hours per week

Prerequisites: 

ESSENTIAL             Instructor/ Leadership qualifications in at least two of the following sports:

QUALIFICATIONS:  Kayaking, Canoeing, Hillwalking, Rockclimbing, Orienteering & Archery.

A current Adventure Sports First Aid qualification.

DESIRABLE:    A QQI or Third level qualification in Outdoor Education or a related area. Skills and experience in related areas such as Campcraft, environmental education, Team Challenges etc.

A D1 or ED1 minibus licence.

Qualifications, Salary Scale and Conditions of Service in accordance with the regulations of the Department of Education and Skills.  

• Appointment is to the Kildare and Wicklow Education Training Board.
